  1. The most important rivers in East Asia run through china. They begin in the plateau of Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. The Chinese are constructing a huge dam on the Chang Jiang it is 607 feet high 1.4 miles wide and it is the world’s largest dam. The dam will give them hydroelectric power the Chang Jiang is the longest river in Asia. Throughout Chinese history the Huang has regularly flooded. The Huang He is China’s major river system the river is called yellow because it has lots of fine yellow brown soil.

A positive thing about the major rivers is that they have rich soil, the major rivers also provide water for large farming area, and they are a major wheat growing area. A negative thing about the major rivers is that there is regular flooding, and that destroys homes and drowns many people. They built a dam that will create a lake that will force a lot of people from their homes.

  2. The most important rivers of this region are found in China. They mainly begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow to the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He or “Yellow River” is China’s major river system. This river carries tons of loess. China’s other major river is the Chang Jiang; this river is the longest river in Asia. This river flows for about 3,400 miles. It empties into the ocean at a port city in Shanghai.

The major rivers both positively and negatively affect this region. The positive effect of The Huang He is that it brings tons of loess, which is fine, yellow brown soil that is very fertile and is brought down from deserts. The loess is what makes the North China Plain fertile enough to be a major wheat growing area for this region. A negative effect of this river is that it floods the land, destroying homes and drowning out crops. The Chinese also refer to this river as “China’s Sorrow”.

  4. The most important rivers of East Asia flow through China; they start in the Plateau of Tibet and flow east to the Pacific Ocean. Loess is a yellow-brown soil. The Chang Jiang is the longest river in China and it is 3,400 miles long. A gorge is a canyon. The Three Gorges Dam is 607 feet high and 1.4 miles wide, it is the largest in the world.

One positive thing about the rivers in East Asia is that the rich soil and the water from the rivers make this region a very good wheat growing place. The Chang Jiang provides a large amount of water for farming areas where half of China’s rice and other grains grow. The Chang Jiang also is a huge trade route for some of the biggest trading ships in the world. One negative about the rivers in East Asia is that Huang He, a river in China, has flooded regularly and taken down many people and homes. Another reason is that the Three Gorges Dam forces over a million people from their houses and covers vast areas with water.

  5. The most important rivers in East Asia flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. “The Yellow River” is North China’s major river system. This river is called the yellow river because it carries tons of fine, yellow-brown soil called loess from deserts. When it collects at the edge, it makes an amazing wheat growing place. The other great river is called the Chang Jiang. This is Asia’s longest river. It flows for 3,400 miles through many Gorges, canyons and broad plains. The Chinese are constructing a huge dam on the Chang Jiang. It is 607 ft high, 1.4 miles wide, and the world’s largest dam. This dam will supply lots of hydroelectric power.

The rivers have a positive and negative effect on this region. The Huang He has large deposits of loess, as I said which makes the North China Plain a major wheat-growing area. This is very positive for farmers. The dam being built on the Chang Jiang, however, has a negative effect. Because the dam will cause a big lake, over a million people will be forced to leave their homes.

  6. The most important rivers flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and end in the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He (yellow river) is called yellow because of fine yellow-brown soil called loess that blows in from deserts western of China. Chang Jiang is the great river of China and its flows about 3,400 miles through gorges, or canyons, and broad plains. The people of China built a dam in 2009 on the Chang Jiang River and called it the Three Gorges Dam.

The Huang He River deposits rich yellow soil from deserts and makes the North China Plain a major place to grow wheat. The Huang He also floods the land, destroying homes and drowning people. The Chang Jiang River provides water for large farming areas where rice and other grains grow. It is also an important trade route. They built a huge dam on the river and it is expected to prevent flooding and supply hydroelectric power.

  7. The most important rivers in East Asia flow right through China. The Huang He is North China’s major river. This rivers nickname is the Yellow River. Well this is because of the yellow-brown soil called loess. This loess blows in from deserts in Western China. When this deposits on the banks of the river, it leaves the land rich in minerals which is good for farming. The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river. It flows for 3,400 miles carving beautiful gorges or canyons along the way.

They affect this region positively and negatively. The water makes the land fertile and rich which is very good for farming. The Chinese are building a dam called the Three Gorges Dam, when it is done it will be the largest dam in the world. But, it will also create a lake that will force more than a million people out of their homes. This dam will create a huge amount of hydroelectric power. This dam will affect the region positively, but, it will affect it negatively too.

  8. The Huang He is China’s major river system and it’s called yellow because it has soil that color called loess. The Chinese because the Huang He regularly floods call the river “China’s Sorrow.” The Chang Jiang is Asia’s longest river it measures 3,400 miles. The Chang Jiang gives water to an area in China that grows half its rice and other grains grow. The Chinese are constructing a dam that is called the three gorges and will be 607 feet tall and 1.4 miles wide. It’s good for hydroelectric power and to prevent flooding but it will force 1 million people from their homes.

The positives for the river are the hydroelectric power and the prevention of floods. It will supply a very large amount of hydroelectric power. Another positive thing is that ships that carry goods can go farther upstream and deliver goods or get more goods. A negative thing is it will force 1 million people from their homes. This idea won’t be very popular with the people that will have to move somewhere else.

  9. Some of the major rivers in East Asia would include the Huang He, in northern China, and the Chang Jiang also found in China. The Huang He is known as the yellow river because of its large deposits of yellow brown soil called loess. The loess help make this region a major wheat growing area. There other major river the Chang Jiang is one of Asia’s longest rivers flowing 3.400 miles. This river provides water for a large farming area which holds rice and other grains. It is also a very important trade route which helps the transportation of goods to other countries.

East Asia’s rivers have many positive and negative effects. Some of the positive effects would include fertile soil for farming, which is very important to their economy. Another positive effect would be the transportation routes which help deliver to other countries. And for the Dams they help create hydroelectric power. Some of the negative effects would include flooding in the homes. This forces them out of their homes so they have to find somewhere else to live.

  10. The most important rivers flow through China. They begin in the Plateau of Tibet and flow eastward to the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He, also called the yellow river, is northern China’s major river system. It is called the yellow river because it called a yellow-brown soil called loess which blows in from the deserts in China. Loess is a very fertile soil that makes this place a major wheat growing area. China’s other great river is called the Chang Jiang. This river is Asia’s longest river flowing 3,400 miles through gorges and plains. The Chinese built a dam across this river called the Three Gorges Dam. It will be the largest dam in the world.

East Asia’s rivers positively affect this region in many ways. One being the rich soil they bring in. This soil makes this region a huge wheat growing area. The Chang Jiang provides water to farms to support half of China’s rice and other grains. The rivers also provide the region with hydroelectric power. A negative effect of the rivers would be the flooding. The Huang He River floods the region destroying thousands of homes and drowning many people. Because of this reason the river is often called “China’s Sorrow.”

  12. China is the place where the most important rivers of East Asia flow through. These rivers start at the Plateau of Tibet, and then flow east toward the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He is the north part of China’s major river. This river contains loess, or yellow-brown soil, so it is also known as the Yellow River. China’s longest river is the Chang Jiang. It flows through gorges, or canyons, and plains. China is making a huge dam on the Chang Jiang.

East Asia’s major rivers negatively affect its people in a few ways. One way is the Huang He, a major river, floods regularly. This causes some people to drown and die. It also causes people’s homes and towns to be devastated. They are also constructing a dam on the other major river, the Chang Jiang. This will eventually make a lake, which will cause over a million people to leave their homes.

The Huang He(the yellow river) carries tons of fine, yellow-brown soil called loess. The longest river in China is the Chang Jiang. It is the distance of 3,400 miles.

A reason would be because the Yellow river brings better soil to farming land. The soil is called loess. It all blows in from the desert. Along the side of the river is fertile. It is very nice because it makes a very nice place for wheat to come up and grow from. A negative thing is that traders go up river and try to get all your money. Not always bad but it can be good, like for trade.

  14. China has the most important rivers flowing in it in East Asia. The mouth of these rivers is the Plateau of Tibet, and then they go east to the Pacific Ocean. But the most important river system is called the Huang He, this major river was nicknamed “Yellow” because of the soil there called Loess; which means it was blown in from a desert. There is also another major river there called Chang Jing. This is Chinas longest river it goes on for about 3,400 miles, through many canyons and gorges.

These rivers are a major help because they provide rich soil deposits, and much water for farming. They also give a major wheat growing area called the North China Plain. There are also many negative effects of these rivers like floods. Floods there are very bad for not only them but their crops too. There are trying to build many Dams to prevent these floods in the near future.

  15. East Asia has many important rivers and they all flow through China. All of these rivers start at the Plateau of Tibet and flow to the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He is an example of a river in East Asia; it is nicknamed the yellow river because of its rich yellow soil called loess. The Chang Jiang is another great river in East Asia and it is the longest. For 3400 miles of gorges, canyons and broad plains this river is the greatest in China. This river also provides so much water that in this area there is very good farming. China is going to make a dam on this river because this river also has a lot of flooding problems.

The rivers in East Asia help the Chinese a lot in their everyday life. But they also have many problems with these rivers. Some great resources that these rivers give are; a good water supply and they provide very plentiful fertile soil for farming. These rivers in many cases may cause many problems like flooding. That is why they are going to make a dam for the Chang Jiang because it over flows and it cause an issue for farming and crops.

The river also provides water for farming and a route for trade.

They positively affect the region by giving the people that live near it water to drink and for farming. It is also a trade route for people who want to move their goods to different places to make more money. They could also fish in the river for food or to sell. Some cons would be that flooding would happen every once in a while and the water would be polluted so it wouldn’t be safe to drink. Another reason is that the water could spread diseases to unwanted places.

  17. The most important river system In Asia runs through China. There is a river in china called the yellow river because of the rich soil deposits. The Jiang I Asia’s longest river it flows 3,400 miles. The Jiang River makes it possible for more than half of Chinas rise fields to grow. The Chinese are constructing the world’s largest dam on the Chang Jiang.

The Rivers in this regain are help full because they allow the Asians to grow rice and wheat. Loess is soil blown in from the desert that the rivers absorb and it gives them a yellow glow. The river also gives the Asians water to drink. But sometimes the rivers over flow and destroy all the peoples crops and their houses. The Chinese are building the largest dam in the world, so it would give them lots of energy.

  19. There are many rivers in East Asia. The most important rivers flow through the country of China. Most of these rivers start up in the Plateau of Tibet and flow eastwardly toward the Pacific Ocean. The Huang He (Yellow River) is called the “yellow river” because it carries fine, brownish-yellow soil called loess from the deserts of Western China. This soil, along with the rivers water, makes the North China Plain a major wheat crowing area. Although the Huang He has rich minerals it also has flooded its banks and killed many people. The Chang Jiang, another major river, flows through 3,400 miles carving gorges through the landscape. All of the rivers in China help people out in different ways, although some can be dangerous, they are also relied upon

There are many ways the rivers of East Asia affect the people and the environment. Some positive ways the effect the people is that they bring mineral rich soils to the land, these soils help with crop growing and feeding livestock. They also provide some people jobs, like the fishing business. These rivers can bring much needed water to major farming businesses. Some negative effects the rivers have are flooding. For example, the Chinese are making a Three Gorges Dam that when completed will create a lake and force over 1,000,000 people to move to a different area.

Well they can be used for cleaning the clothes of the people there and the can be used for cooking and drinking water, also the fish can be helpful too. But the water system could cause natural disasters like hurricanes and flooding which can worsen the population of the people who don’t want to get flooded or not know when a flood is coming
