These are all archipelagos. The archipelago means that there are a chain of islands. The chains of islands are Indonesia, East Timor, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines.

Volcanoes create a very fertile farming area. A tsunami in 2004 killed more than 300,000 people. Most of the population lives in mainland Southeast Asia.
Southeast Asia is made of thousands of islands. The mainland is peninsulas. The mainland is crossed by mountain ranges. Indonesia is a majority of the islands. Earthquakes challenge the islands.

ReplyDeleteEarth quakes and volcanoes are the main reason of death in this region. Another reason for deaths or mad destructions includes the great powerful one and many tsunami. Two major oceans are the Indian and Pacific Ocean. Oceans are used for many trade routes. The most important river is mainly The Huang He (Yellow River).

Southeast Asia in covered with peninsulas and islands. Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam are some of the many peninsulas. Indonesia, East Timor, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, and the Philippines are island countries of the region. Indonesia and the Philippines are both archipelagos. Mainland Southeast Asia however is covered with cordilleras or separate mountain chains that run alongside each other. The cordilleras are mainly separated by fertile river plains or deltas. South and East Asia is made up of many islands. These islands are formed by volcanic activity under the water. There are many islands because South and East Asia are a part of the Ring of Fire. Earthquakes are another dangerous factor of the islands.

South and East of the mainland are thousands of mountainous islands. They have a lot of volcanoes. Since they have so many volcanoes, they call it the Ring of Fire. Earthquakes are also a type that changes the islands of Southeast Asia.

The Ring of Fire is a ring of volcanoes in the Pacific Ocean consisting of island and peninsulas. The Ring of Fire makes new islands due to the fact that some of the volcanoes are underwater. When the volcanoes erupt ash builds up and get to the point that it comes out of the sea and creates a new island. The volcanoes help Asia’s farmland because it leaves a layer a fertile ash.
ReplyDeleteSoutheast Asia lays South of China. Southeast Asia has many countries that are just made up of islands, like Indonesia, and the Philippines which again are both archipelagos. To the South and East of the mainland are tons of islands. These islands make up part of what is called the Ring of Fire because on many of the islands are volcanoes. This region may have many islands and volcanoes but it also gets hit by many tsunamis. In 2004 it was hit by a great tsunami that killed more than 300,000 people and thousands of homes and businesses were damaged or destroyed.
ReplyDeleteThe Ring of Fire is a great string of islands with many volcanoes and earthquakes. The Ring of Fire helps farming because it has a lot of rich fertile soil. The Rich soil is very important in farming major crops. It also helps because it is by plenty of water, but some of it is salt water so it is not able to be used. That’s what I think the Ring of Fire helps with farming.
South of china is Southeast Asia this area has peninsulas and thousands of islands. Mainland Southeast Asia’s are crossed by mountain ranges that run side by side. The ring of fire holds many active volcanoes which provide rich soil for farming. Earthquakes cause tsunamis and over lowlands it has killed 300,000 people and washed over more than a dozen countries. Several countries lie completely on Southeast Asia’s mainland.

The ring of fire gets closer and closer to each other and it pushes the plats together and causes volcanoes and earthquakes. The earthquakes destroy business homes and kill many people.
