China and Mongolia make up most of East Asia but, it has many other countries. Mountain ranges and highlands go through most of western East Asia. The lowlands of East Asia are the North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. Many people live in the lowlands because of fertile soil. The island of Japan forms an archipelago, or chain of islands. East Asia’s islands are part of the Ring of Fire so, the islands were made by earthquakes and volcanoes.
ReplyDeleteMost people live in the lowlands because, water from the highlands runs down into the lowlands. The water makes the lowlands more fertile and gives them better area to grow crops. The lowlands will have more water and fishing from rivers and lakes. It would have a better chance at flooding so they could grow rice. People in the lowlands have a better chance at growing crops and raising livestock.
Japan, North Korea, South Korea, and Taiwan, lie on peninsulas or islands. The highest mountain ranges here are the Himalayas and the Kunlun Shan. Between these ranges is the Plateau of Tibet. Because this plateau is over 15,000 ft high, this has the nickname “Roof of the World”. East of these mountains lay the fertile lowlands where most of the people live. Japan forms an Archipelago, a chain of islands.
ReplyDeleteWith the highland areas, the air is very thin and you must have high endurance to survive. The highland also has a rugged terrain which would make it hard to farm and move around without falling. Living on the low land allows the water to run down to the land. That greatly helps the farmers. This also allows farmers to raise livestock, as much as fish in the rivers and lakes.
East India occupies most of the Asian continent south of Russia. This area is full of lowland and highland areas. There are also a lot of islands like the archipelago. There are also gorges, canyons, and broad plains. A main resource in this region is Tungsten and it is used in light bulbs and rockets.
ReplyDeleteMost people probably live in lowland because in highlands you have to get used to the high altitudes in the mountains. Also you have to climb all the way back up if you go into the city for a reason. It just gets harder and harder for you to live there because of all the complications that they have in the high altitudes.
The countries that East Asia consist of China, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The vast plateau of Tibet measures 15,000 feet in height. The North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain are East Asia’s only major lowland areas. An archipelago is a chain of islands. East Asia’s islands are part of The Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteI think people live in the lowlands because it is easier to get around down there because if you were up high where all the mountains are it would be jagged. The highlands have a much higher altitude also so the lowlands would be much easier to live in. The lowlands might be much warmer also so that would be a huge impact. The job selection in the highlands might be very small because it is so high up and no one would think of that. It might just be their opinion also.
East Asia covers most of the Asian continent and has more than 6 countries covering this landmass. The Himalayas and Kunlun Shan are the two main mountain ranges through this area. East of the mountains are the lowland areas, the North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. Most of the population is here. Japan in the Pacific Ocean is a part of a chain of islands called archipelago. Here there are many earthquakes because of the shifting of the tectonic plates.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people live in the lowlands because it is easier to travel than in the mountains. There are also more major cities in the lowland parts. When you live in the highland parts the weather is probably a little bit cooler and the weather up there might change more than if you live in the lowland areas. When you live in the highland areas it will probably be harder to breathe because of the air quality. That is why I believe that more people live in the lowlands than the highlands.
Most East Asian countries lie on peninsulas or islands. The tallest mountain ranges are the Himalayas and the Kulan Shan. The plateau of Tibet is between these two mountains. This plateau is so high it’s called the Roof of the World. The North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain are the two major lowlands in this region. An arc lies off the Coast of East Asia and these islands are formed together which makes an archipelago. An archipelago is a big chain of islands.
ReplyDeleteI think more people live in lowlands because it is warmer down below the mountains. There are fertile plains between mountains which people can use for farming. It’s easier to raise livestock down by the mountains because the rivers will be close by and there will be more vegetation to eat. There are fertile river plains and deltas in this region. The Ring of Fire is by the mountains which could risk your livestock dying. You have to get used to the shortness of oxygen in high altitudes and you have to walk all the way down and up the mountain to get food and water.

ReplyDeleteMongolia and China cover most of the land, while the other countries are on peninsulas or islands. The mountain ranges are the Himalaya and Kunlun Shan and the Plateau of Tibet is called the Roof of the World. Most of the population lives in the lowlands: the North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. East Asia has a chain of islands which is also known as an Archipelago and these islands include Japan. The islands are part of the Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteThe land is fertile this makes it easier to farm. They can then sell the crops they make and earn money for them. If they are in the lowland it makes it easier to travel so they can trade their goods a lot easier. They can also get to water easier which means they can fish for food. With water they can water their crops so they don’t die.
East Asia is mostly made up islands and peninsulas like Japan and North/South Korea. In western East Asia there are highlands and mountain ranges. The plateau of Tibet is one of the biggest it is called the roof of the world. If you go east of the mountains u will find the China Plane, lowlands are also in Korean peninsula. Japan is actually a archipelago or a mountains island.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people would live in lowland areas. They probably live there because in the mountains oxygen is thinner and that would be hard to get used to. I would live in lowland area because I don’t like heights. Lowlands have big cities and more people live in cities than in mountain villages. Food probably doesn’t grow too well on a mountain
Mountain ranges slice through western East Asia. The tallest ranges there are the Himalayas and the Kunlun Shan. East of the mountains are East Asia’s only major lowland areas, the North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. Most of East Asia’s people live in these rich fertile lowlands. Japan is an archipelago, or also known as a chain of islands. Taiwan of the cost of china is also an archipelago.
ReplyDeleteMost people live in the lowland areas because the land there is more fertile and well built for crops. The rivers also run through these lowlands, so the people could get water and fish. They could also use the river to trade with other villages or use it as a route to go to the ocean. Highland areas would also be harder to live in and you would constantly be going down to the lowland areas to get food, water, and trade goods. The people would have more goods to trade in the lowlands, and they would make more money which in return would make them happy:):):).
North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan lie on peninsulas or islands. The highest mountain ranges here include the Himalayas and the Kunlun Shan. To the east of the mountains are East Asia’s only major lowland places, the North China Plain as well as the Manchurian Plain. In the Pacific Ocean off East Asia’s coast there is an arc of mountainous islands. These islands include Japan, which forms an archipelago, which is a chain of islands, and Taiwan off the coast of Southeastern China.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people live in the lowland areas because of the flatter land. The lowland in East Asia is very fertile and good for the various things they grow there. It is also easier to live in the lesser altitudes where there is more oxygen and resources available. The highlands or mountainous areas are low on oxygen and the jagged landscape makes it hard to live there. Therefore, because of this most people prefer to live in the lowland areas.
China and Mongolia take up most of East Asia’s land. The other countries are on peninsulas or islands. Mountain Ranges and Highlands go through the western part of East Asia, with the Himalayas and Kunlun Shan being two of the tallest ranges in this area. In between these two ranges lies the plateau of Tibet, or the Roof of the World. East of the mountains are major lowlands. Like the China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. These lowlands are very fertile in their resources and in their water supply, so they have a higher population than the highland areas. In the Pacific Ocean off of East Asia’s coast are many mountainous islands. These islands form a large arc, or curve, to form an Archipelago.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people live in the Lowlands because they have a better chance at growing crops. Since they can grow crops they will be able to make money and support their families with that money. Livestock would be able to live better in the fertile lowlands, since they have a variety of food they can eat. They also could live in the lowlands because of water supply that comes down the off of the mountains. Since the water comes off of the mountains it is full of nutrients that the crops would need and use. Humans might like living in the lowlands because in the highlands there is less oxygen supply for the body to use. If the body doesn’t get enough oxygen then you would probably pass out or could possible die. So all in all more people live in the lowlands because it is easier for them and it they can make more money than living in the highlands.
East Asia is located on most of the Asian continent south of Russia, and has a lot of mountain ranges and highlands. Between the two tallest mountain ranges, the Himalaya and the Kunlun Shan, is the Plateau of Tibet. This Plateau is so tall, that it is even called the Roof of the World. To the east of the mountains are the two major lowland areas, which are the North China Plain and the Manchurian plain where most of the population is. Another populated place is Japan, which forms an archipelago, or a chain of islands. East Asia’s islands are part of the Ring of Fire, which is an area where plate movements cause many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
ReplyDeleteI think the reason most people in East Asia live in the lowland areas is because most of the mountains are very high. When a mountain is really high then you could get sick from elevation. There are also a lot of mountain ranges, so you would get sick of always being up high and staring at the same mountain range. Also, food doesn’t grow well on mountains, so if you lived up there you would have to climb down the mountain a lot to get your food. The last reason is because you don’t want to be all alone on a mountain, you would probably rather be closer to all the people.
In East Asia there are two major countries, China and Mongolia. Many mountain ranges go through this area such as the Himalayas and the Kunlun Shan. To the east of these mountain ranges there are the major lowland areas, the North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. Now in the Pacific there is an archipelago, which is a chain of islands, and this area is Japan. The Ring of Fire covers most of East Asia’s islands which makes this area full of volcanic activity. How this works is the tectonic plates move and makes friction and this makes cracks in the earth, which volcanic substances can come up through the mountains and creates a volcano.
ReplyDeleteI think more people live in the lowlands because of better water sources. Since they live below the mountains more water may run down the cliff side and down into their rivers. Also down in the lowlands there probably more space to build buildings and more room for people to live. There are probably better farming sources such as fertile soil. Also to get food it is probably better to live down there because of all the water ways.
The countries of North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan all in East Asia lie along peninsulas or islands. Mountains and highlands slice through Western Asia. Some of the mountains include the Himalaya and the Kunlun Shan. The Chang Jiang, which is Asia’s longest river, flows through canyons and is 3,400 miles long. Indonesia, Malaysia, and China are leading producers. China has one of the largest iron ore deposits in the world. Teak, from trees, is used to build buildings and ships because it is strong and durable. Mahogany, from the Philippines, is used in paneling and furniture.
ReplyDeleteI think many people live in lowlands for 2 main reasons. One of the reasons is because of the high latitudes, which makes it hard to breathe. Another reason I think people live in lowlands is because it is so much colder the higher up you get. The people would not like to lose oxygen due to lack of air. The colder temperatures would make it nice and cool during the summer.
China and Mongolia cover most of the East Asian area; the other countries are on islands, or peninsulas. The mountain ranges cut through western East Asia. The tallest mountains ranges are the Himalaya and the Kunlun Shan. Between the tall mountain chains Himalaya and Kunlun Shan is the plateau of Tibet. The plateau of Tibet is called the “Roof of the World.”
ReplyDeleteEast of the mountains is the only two lowlands in the region are the North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain. Most of the population lives in this fertile lowland. In the Pacific is an island called Japan that forms an archipelago. Japan and several other islands were created millions of years ago by sea volcanic activity. The East Asia’s islands are part of the ring of fire.
China and Mongolia cover most of the landmass of Asia; other countries are smaller and more compact like North Korea and South Korea. Other countries consist of islands like Japan and Taiwan. There are three mountain ranges in this region the Himalaya, Kunlun Shan, and the Plateau of Tibet. The Pacific Ocean lies of the East Coast of the Asia. The ocean lies at a curve which make plates collide with each other making an archipelago or chain of islands. Indonesia and the Philippines are an example of an archipelago. The archipelagos are formed by volcanic activity due to the fact that East Asia is a part of the Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteI think that most people live in the lowlands because there is more water and more fertile soil farming land. There is more water because the snow runoff from the mountains gets collected at the bottom of the mountain. People also live in the lowland areas because it is more accessible to more goods from other countries than in the mountain ranges.
China and Mongolia cover most of the landmass of East Asia. North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and twain lay a peninsulas or islands. The East Mountains lie on low lying plains. The tallest mountain range is the Himalayas. Indonesia is made of many islands.
ReplyDeleteI think that a majority the population lives in low lands is because crops grow better. It also is a better climate. It is moist and warm place to live. It is also safer from volcanic eruption. It is also less populated than most places.
North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan all are located on islands or on peninsulas. The Himalayas are the largest mountains to cut through the western part of East Asia, and the Kunlun Shan are also one of the largest to separate the western part of East Asia. In between these two large mountain ranges is the vast Plateau of Tibet, this plateau is about 15,000 feet, and it is also referred to as the Roof of the World. To the east of these mountains and plateau are East Asia’s only lowlands. The North China Plain and the Manchurian Plain are the lowlands of this region.
ReplyDeleteI think most people live in lowland areas because the land is generally more fertile. The North China Plain is where major rice fields are found. This makes the lowland areas more populated because there are more areas of fertile land and places for crops to grow. The land regularly floods in lowland areas so there is more water to keep land fertile. Loess is taken from the deserts to the lowland areas to make the land more fertile.
East Asia occupies much of the Asian continent south of Russia China and Mongolia extends over most of East Asia’s landmass. All of the countries in East Asia are South Korea, North Korea, Japan, and Taiwan they all lay on islands and Peninsulas. The Manchurian Plain is the major low land area Most of East Asia’s populations live on the lowland areas. East Asia’s islands are part of the ring of fire that is board the Pacific Ocean where plats move and cause many earthquakes and volcano eruptions.
ReplyDeleteI think people live in lowlands because it is probably flatter than in the highlands so it would be easier to move around and farm and stuff. It would be harder to get up in the highlands because it might be really high up so it would be harder to make that climb. There would probably more water down below for animals and bathing and cleaning things and it would be a lot easier to get the water since they are down there anyway. More Oxygen to breath because the higher you are the harder it is to breath.
East and South Asia expands from the mountains of China east of the Pacific shores of Japan. The East Asian countries are North Korea, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The two highest mountains are the Himalayas and the Kunlun Shan. In between these include the plateau of Tibet. East Asia’s islands are part of the Ring of Fire.
ReplyDeleteThe people live in the lowland areas because in the highlands they include the Himalayas. This basically means that you probably wouldn’t want to live on a huge volcano’s. These volcanoes are held by The Ring of Fire. Many people die from volcanoes in the highlands. So you should probably live in the lowlands…just saying.
East Asia takes up much of the Asian continent. Mountain ranges are in many of the areas of western East Asia, the tallest ranges there include the Himalaya, and the Kunlun Shan. East of all the mountains here is East Asia’s only lowland areas, the North China Plain, and the Manchurian Plain. Most of East Asia’s people live along these lowland fertile areas. In the Pacific Ocean lies a string of islands including Japan. All of these form an archipelago, which is a chain of islands.
ReplyDeleteI think most of their people live in lowland areas because of more fertile soil for crops. They also might live there because it is next to the Korean peninsula, for water and food. It’s also because Japan is there too and that has a very high population. They might live there because of low altitudes at such a low area and that is what they have been used to. That’s why I think most of East Asia’s population lives there.
